Government Shipping Franchise Scheme

Government Shipping Franchise Scheme is a government funded initiative. An initiative that ensures the movement of cargo and passengers between our maritime islands. The Franchise Scheme enables connectivity and accessibility to markets, increasing economic activities and improving livelihoods.  This is essential for maritime connectivity and accessibility, especially to our uneconomical routes.

There are 10 routes operated under the Franchise Scheme and these include:

1. Rotuma, Beqa/Yanuca/Vatulele, Yasawa, and Lower Southern Lau, which operate on a monthly basis;
2. Kadavu, Lomaiviti, Upper Southern Lau, Northern Lau and Yasayasa Moala, which operate on a bi-monthly basis; and
3. North East Vanua Levu, which operates every 2 months.

There are 10 routes operated under the Franchise Scheme and these include:

1. Brighton Holdings Fiji Limited
2. Goundar Shipping Limited
3. Miller Shipping Services
4. Valesasa Transportation Limited
5. Victoria Marine Limited
6. Government Shipping Services
