Head of School, Mr. Lasarusa Senibale,

Esteemed Teachers and Parents,

Invited Guests,

Students and Graduates,

Good morning, and Bula Vinaka to you all.

It is truly an honor to stand before you today as a chief guest and an old scholar of this esteemed institution. As I look out at this sea of bright faces, I well understand the incredible journey that each and every one of you has embarked upon during your time here – as I too at one time was in your position. I will not reveal how long ago that was – suffice to say – it was not that long ago in my mind.

I vividly recall the days when I walked these corridors, the excitement of learning something new, the friendships forged, and the challenges overcome. It feels like just yesterday that I sat where you are now, eagerly anticipating the next chapter of my life.

The journey of education is a remarkable one. It is not just about absorbing facts and figures, it is about cultivating a thirst for knowledge, a passion for discovery, and a resilience that propels you forward even in the face of adversity.

As you graduate today, you are not just closing a chapter — you are opening a door to a world of endless possibilities. The skills and values you have gained here will serve as your compass as you navigate towards the future.

In a world that is constantly evolving, it is not just about what you know, but how you adapt and apply that knowledge. The challenges ahead may seem daunting, but remember that within each challenge lies an opportunity for growth and success.

I encourage you to embrace curiosity, to be unafraid of failure, and to approach each day with the determination to make a positive impact.

There will be challenges as you embark on your future journey. It is how you face these challenges that will ultimately define your success. The support from your family, your teachers, the School and your fellow pupils are extremely important and are there to remind you that you are not alone in times of difficulties. So please do ask for help when you need it.

You are not just the leaders of tomorrow — you are the leaders of today, with the power to shape the world in ways that we, the previous generations, could only dream of.

As you move forward, cherish the memories you have created here, but do not be afraid to forge new ones. Your journey is a unique story waiting to be written, and you hold the pen.

Be kind to one another, lift each other up, and never underestimate the power of collaboration – and most importantly – always put the Lord FIRST in everything you do, and trust me, you will never go wrong!

In closing, I want to express my heartfelt congratulations to each graduate. Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have brought you to this moment, and I have no doubt that you will continue to achieve greatness in the years to come.

May your dreams be bold, your journey be fulfilling, and your impact be profound. Congratulations, to the school of 2023, and may your future be as bright as the smiles I see before me today.

Thank you and Vinaka Vakalevu.
